PRODUCTION ENGINEER (NEW PRODUCT MANUFACTURE AND INTEGRATION)

Job Salary: Negotiable based upon qualifications and experience
Location: Based in Chepstow, UK - but frequent long stays in Hong Kong
Start Date: Immediate

A vacancy exists for a Production Engineer / Manager to provide mechanical and/or electronic engineering and design support to Production, Purchasing and Commercial departments. To participate in Production Engineering aspects of the new products and the start up of our new Hong Kong production facility ensuring smooth transition from our design to product production.

Main duties will include:

• Ensure that our new products achieve right first time cost effective manufacture.
• To aid with product manufacture and help improve manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Liaise with senior management for the procurement of tooling and production assembly aids.
• Install manufacturing procedures and begin production.
• Become familiar with product lines ensuring good product quality and repeatability in production.
• Additional duties will include general tasks not relating to the above and not specifically listed.
• Provide “hands on” help in all the instances set out above.

Candidate attributes for this role will include:

• Broad systems / software / electronics / mechanical engineering experience with ideally some commercial or other management exposure.
• Degree in an appropriate technical discipline.
• Essential to have good English communication skills and commercial awareness.
• Well organised, robust, self motivated team player.
• Extreme drive and get up and go mentality.
• Accept Instructions and perform tasks with enthusiasm.
